I feel as if I’m missing a trick.  The 2010 FIFA World Cup kicks off tonight in South Africa and it appears that I’m the only person in the country that doesn’t have some kind of World Cup-related promotion running.

Whether it’s supermarkets convincing you that buying cases of beer is your patriotic duty or electronics manufacturers telling us that watching the games on a screen anything less than twelve-feet across is some sort of mortal sin everybody has an angle.  I walked into town this morning to buy a loaf of bread and Hindleys Bakery in Lichfield have even put a red Saint George cross on their bread rolls!

My question is – what can I do to compete?  How does a professional vintage vocalist put a World Cup spin on his product?  Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
