A Wonderful Wedding at Wilton Court

June 29, 2011

Bob and Jennifer got married at the beginning of June at the beautiful Wilton Court in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

Bob had contacted me through my website enquiring about me singing during their wedding breakfast and we managed to keep it a surprise for both his guests and his bride.

Bob kicked off proceedings with a couple of verses of “Fly Me to the Moon” then I took over and serenaded the wedding party as they dined with two fifty-minute sets of classic songs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.

The  historic surroundings of Wilton Court (the building dates back to the 16th century) were the perfect backdrop for a relaxed afternoon of elegant entertainment which culminated in Bob and Jennifer getting up to dance to “The Way You Look Tonight”.

It was a delight to sing for Bob and Jennifer at such a beautiful venue and it was all over far too soon.  Thanks to guest John Bullock for letting me use his photographs in this post.

Bob was later kind enough to send me this wonderful thank-you:

Jennifer and I would like to send heartfelt thanks for your singing at our wedding at Wilton Court in Ross on Wye. Your repetoire of songs was perfect for the occasion in the lovely 16th century venue on the banks of the Wye.

All the guests were thrilled at the surprise (thanks for letting me start the singing) and thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful interpretation of many wonderful classic songs.  We were both so happy to hear you sing “Stardust” at the end,  probably our favourite song, and you certainly did it justice.  Everyone commented on the emotion you put into the song.

Wonderful, memorable. We will certainly recommend you to our friends.

Thank-you, Bob, the pleasure was all mine!
